History of ARAH

  • 2008
    ARAH was founded as a medical waste transporter company. ARAH serves transportation
    medical waste in West Java area, including Jabodetabek.
  • 2011
    ARAH's achievements began with ARAH's participation in an entrepreneurship competition held by the Global Entrepreneurship Program Indonesia (SPEAK) and succeeded in eliminating hundreds of participants so that they were invited to the Regional Entrepreneurship Summit and met with Hillary Clinton and Top World Investors in Bali. At this competition, ARAH won as Runner Up Champion after Go-Jek for the non-technology category. In this competition, ARAH offers entrepreneurship in the field of medical B3 waste management that is more integrated and systematic so that medical waste management in Indonesia can be better managed in order to preserve the environment.

    ARAH began operating in Central Java and North Sumatra.
  • 2013
    ARAH is expanding into the East Java region.
  • 2016
    ARAH facility in Polokarto begins operating.
  • 2018
    ARAH was appointed as the official partner of the Asian Games and Asian Para Games for its medical waste management during the events in Jakarta and Palembang.
  • 2019
    The third incinerator issued its permit, so that our waste treatment capacity becomes 28 tons per day.
  • 2020
    ARAH is collaborating with several parties in handling the Covid-19 pandemic, especially in the management of medical waste due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Besides that, ARAH is also expanding its service coverage in the South Sumatra region.
  • 2021
    ARAH received the Blue PROPER award from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia.
  • 2022
    The ARAH facility under the auspices of PT Graha Alam Industri's affiliation in Bogor begins operating. Also in years 2022, ARAH is appointed by a United Nations agency, United Nations Development Program (UNDP), to conduct research on prototype waste management in traditional markets for the Jabodetabek area. Besides that, ARAH began to expand its service coverage in several new locations such as in South Sulawesi, Bali, and develop the West Java area.
  • 2023
    National scale hazardous waste collection facility in Banyuasin, Banyuwangi, and Makassar started operating.
